The butterflies were released today. We had thirty-two fly away.

We have eleven butterflies. We are waiting for more.
Welcome to a new school year. We will be doing exciting things this year. If all goes as planned we will be raising butterflies, frogs and hatching chickens. We will be using both Simple Solutions and First in Math to compliment the regular math series. In social studies we will cover a wide variety of things from family, maps, important people and a state report. Periodically you will receive a Family Time page from our religion book. This is not homework but it does give some nice ideas for at home activities. We will be using Skype to connect to other classrooms throughout the year.
Plan on learning and having fun!!!
Two chicks hatched overnight and two this morning. Three chicks are working at hatching. The children are enjoying the peeping sounds.
It is day 21 of incubation. The students are very exited to see a small hole in the one egg! We will keep checking to see if it makes it out today. 
We candled the eggs again today. This is day 15 of incubation.
